Privacy Policy for Autoclaw

Last updated: March 30, 2026

Autoclaw is an Android app that connects to a user-configured Autoclaw server and provides task management, status viewing, and voice interaction features, including Android Auto support.

Information We Access

Autoclaw may access:

  • Microphone audio, only when you explicitly use voice input or voice conversation features
  • Network data needed to connect to the Autoclaw server you configure
  • Local app settings stored on your device, such as server URL, selected repository, selected model, session preferences, and voice settings
  • App update files when you choose to download an APK update from your configured server

How We Use Information

  • Microphone audio is used to convert speech into text for voice commands and conversations
  • Network access is used to send requests to your configured Autoclaw server and retrieve task, status, and session information
  • Local settings are used to remember your preferences and restore app state
  • Update downloads are used only when you choose to retrieve an app update from your configured server

Microphone Permission

Autoclaw requests microphone permission only for voice features. Audio is accessed only after you grant permission and actively start a voice interaction. Autoclaw is not intended to record audio continuously in the background for advertising, analytics, or profiling.

Data Sharing

Autoclaw does not sell personal data.

Data entered into or sent through the app is transmitted to the Autoclaw server that you configure. If that server is operated by you, your organization, or another third party, that server operator is responsible for its own storage, processing, retention, and security practices.

Data Retention

  • App preferences remain on your device until you clear app data or uninstall the app
  • Data processed by your configured Autoclaw server is retained according to that server's own configuration and policies

Security

Autoclaw should be used only with a trusted server endpoint. You are responsible for securing the server you configure and any network connection between the app and that server.

Your Choices

  • You may deny microphone permission, but voice features will not work
  • You may reset the configured server connection inside the app
  • You may uninstall the app or clear app storage to remove locally stored settings

Children

Autoclaw is not designed for children.
