Files are temporarily written to disk during processing and deleted immediately on download. They are never permanently stored on our servers. However, for alt-text generation all images are sent to an AI service.

No. Avoid uploading files with personal, confidential, or sensitive information. Use test or anonymized files whenever possible.

When Autoable finds images without alternative text, it uses AI to generate context-aware descriptions based on the image content and surrounding slide or page text. You can review and edit every suggestion before applying it to your document.
